Hey crafty friends! Welcome to my stop in the Growing in Unity Blog Hop put together by the January and February GIU gals. We hope you hop along with us and comment all along the way. See below for the complete list of blogs so you can check out everyone's projects!

For my first project, I made a cute Easter card using the March Kit of the Month: Hope to Be. I stamped the solid Easter egg with Distress Oxide inks: Picked Raspberry with Festive Berries around the edge, Cracked Pistachio with Evergreen Bough around the edge, and Peacock Feathers with Mermaid Lagoon. Then I stamped the adorable bunny on top of each egg with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I stamped the leaf border with the same black ink and die cut the kraft panel with a stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I trimmed matting layers of blue and green cardstock, adhered each layer with liquid glue, and embellished with some Pinkfresh Studio jewels in coordinating colors. I stamped the Happy Easter sentiment (also from the March KOM) on the inside of the card.

For my second card, I used the February Kit of the Month: A Beautiful Mindset. I just loved that pretty globe stamp. This kit was actually the stamp set I picked out after my GIU week...and then I proceeded to sign up for the KOM starting in March! I stamped the globe onto a die cut lace-edged circle with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I foam mounted the die cut circle onto a piece of Basic Grey Oliver 6x6 paper I've been holding onto for YEARS. I'm not sure who I'm going to send this card to yet, but I'm thinking of adding a little banner sentiment strip in the top left corner and using either Hello or Just a Note from Gotta Love Sentiments.

For my final project, I needed to make some sympathy cards. I was going for a simple, classy style for these. My Unity stamps embossed on some pretty die cut shapes were perfect. The stamp sets used were (from top left) Something Wonderful Butterfly, Aging Gorgeously, Simply Blessed, and Insightful Meadows. The inside of each card was stamped with a sentiment from My Condolences.
